Coconut Point’s Cheesecake Factory sets opening date. How soon can you grab your cheesecake?

The craze for cheesecake is almost upon us, with the opening date for Estero's Cheesecake Factory officially unveiled.

Southwest Florida residents can enjoy the beloved chain restaurant as soon as Aug. 22, according to the restaurant website.

While Collier County has had a Cheesecake Factory at the Coastland Center mall since 2005 and there are 20 scattered around the state, the Coconut Point location will be Lee County's first. The chain currently has 20 locations in Florida.

“Coconut Point is thrilled to have The Cheesecake Factory join our dining community,” Julie Clark, Coconut Point's director of marketing and business development, said in a past news release.

When is the Cheesecake Factory opening in Coconut Point?

According to their website, the chain restaurant will open its doors to the public next month on Aug. 22.

After announcing their upcoming arrival plans in January, Coconut Point and Cheesecake Factory officials said they would be spending a few months hiring staff members before they released their opening date.

The Estero Cheesecake Factory will be located at 23130 Fashion Dr, Estero, FL 33928.

What did it replace in Coconut Point?

The cheesecake chain has taken over the space previously occupied by the Asian bistro, Stir Crazy. They opened back in 2008 and closed their doors in 2019.

What can residents expect from the new Cheesecake Factory location?

The Estero location will feature indoor and patio dining area of 9,000-plus square feet.

One of the main draws of the casual restaurant is its menu of more than 250 freshly prepared-from-scratch items. There are small plates, salads, flatbreads, pasta, seafood, steaks, burgers (referred to as Glamburgers), and sandwiches, plus breakfast, brunch, and kids' items.

As for the cheesecake, patrons can expect over 30 unique choices, ranging from original and classic Basque to dulce de leche caramel, Oreo dream extreme, mango Key lime, and beyond. They can be purchased by the slice and in 6, 7 or 10-inch whole cheesecakes.

“Since opening our first restaurant in Beverly Hills nearly 45 years ago, The Cheesecake Factory has become known for creating delicious, memorable experiences for millions of guests around the country, and we are so pleased to be opening at Coconut Point,” David Overton, founder, chairman, and chief executive officer of the California-based The Cheesecake Factory Inc., said in a news release back in January. “Coconut Point is known as a wonderful dining destination, and we look forward to opening there later this year.”
