The 2023 Billboard Music Awards brought out celebs from all industries to celebrate “the year of chart-toppers” in Los Angeles on Saturday night (Nov. 18). Ahead of the publication’s annual award ceremony—which saw SZA take home four big wins including Top R&B Artist and Top R&B Album, as well as Beyoncé score two trophies—Coco Jones, Westside Gunn, Miguel, Jordin Sparks, and more attended Billboard’s inaugural No. 1s Party.

Invited guests were escorted to the Sheats-Goldstein Residence in the Beverly Crest neighborhood of L.A. where they joined some of the award nominees and others who’ve dominated the charts throughout the year. Aside from the aforementioned, stars in attendance included Jaden Smith, Normani, Iann Dior, Paul Russell, Bia, Baby Tate, Queen Naija, Skai Jackson, Eric Bellinger, Blxst, Fridayy, Thundercat, Woody McClain, Polo G, Ambré, Ledisi, and more.

During the event’s red carpet arrivals, Miguel gave his sentiments about his classic 2010 song, “Sure Thing” re-entering at No. 1 on the Pop Airplay chart this year. “It’s a massive blessing,” he told Billboard. “It’s a testament to how fans can really push a song and great songwriting can live on and live forever, and how great music still matters.”

Coco Jones also spoke about her stellar year on the charts with her infectious single “ICU,” which spent four weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay. “Even seeing ‘ICU’ on the Billboard charts was such a huge goal of mine,” she said. “It’s been on my vision board since I was literally 16 years old. So it’s so full-circle and I’m so honored to be here.”

According to Billboard, all guests were ushered to the private residence “by a fleet of vehicles from Lexus,” the party’s sponsor. DJ, NITRANE musically curated the event as guests partied next to a pool with a massive Billboard No. 1s sign running across it.
