Coco Austin Criticized for 5-Year-Old Daughter Chanel’s ‘Mini’ Nail Tips In School Photo

Coco Austin is getting hit with backlash for allowing her 5-year-old daughter Chanel Nicole to wear nail tips — plastic fake nails — for her class photo.
On Thursday evening, the model and wife of rapper Ice-T shared photos of their daughter looking adorable in a white blouse with a red cardigan and matching hair bows. “School Picture day!!,” she captioned the images. “For the special occasion I let Chanel do mini tips to her nails.. I love doing her hair.. my little doll baby is what I call her….” tagging the girl’s Instagram account (which is managed by her parents).

Many commenters praised the little girl for her look. “Has anyone ever seen prettier eyes than this?” one wrote. Another added, “Chanel is a beautiful blend of u and Ice. Lil fashionista like her momma.”

Others, however, were not thrilled about Chanel’s nail art.
“To young for nails!!!!!” chided one, while another wrote, “I’m sorry but no to tips and makeup at her age. Let her be an adorable little 5 year old.”
“Why would you put nails on a 5-year-old? What’s up with the makeup? No need for all of that. That’s too much,” someone wrote.
One took on the mom shamers by writing, “…Y’all gotta let people live and worry about your own self. I’m sure some of you out here doing worse things as mothers but want to judge another mother for some nails. Y’all doing wayyyyyy too much.”
Austin hasn’t responded to the comments, but she’s been the target of the parent police before, especially after revealing in August that she still breastfeeds Chanel. However, her hubby was quick to defend his family on Twitter writing to one critic, “Why the F are you worried about MY Child??? That’s what’s weird.. Now go back in the basement.”
