Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson, Kelsea Ballerini, and Zach Bryan are all in the running for multiple prizes at the 2024 CMT Music Awards, taking place April 7 at the Moody Center in Austin, and airing live on CBS.

Jelly Roll, Wilson, and Ballerini, alongside Megan Moroney and Cody Johnson, all tied for the most nominations this year with three each. All five artists will compete for Video of the Year, alongside other artists like Bryan, Brothers Osborne, Kacey Musgraves, and last year’s winner Kane Brown, who features on Mickey Guyton’s “Nothing Compares to You.”

More from Rolling Stone

Bryan was one of 14 artists to earn their first ever CMT Awards nominations this year. “Nine Ball,” a song off the Boys of Faith EP with a video starring Matthew McConaughey as a pool shark, is up for Video of the Year, while “Oklahoma Smokeshow” (off 2022’s Summertime Blues EP) was nominated for Breakthrough Male Video of the Year. (Bryan notably did not release any official videos for songs off his hit 2023 self-titled album.)

Tyler Childers also earned his first CMT nominations with his heartbreaking “In Your Love” video up for Video of the Year and Breakthrough Male Video of the Year. An array of up-and-comers also picked up their first ever nominees, including Amber Riley, Tigirlily Gold, Warren Zeiders, and the Castellows.

But a few veterans and not-necessarily-country artists snuck in there as well, including Hozier, whose performance of “Take Me to Church” with Maren Morris on CMT Crossroads is up for CMT Performance of the Year. And Poison’s Bret Michaels is nominated in the same category for a rendition of “Nothing But a Good Time” with Chris Janson, which also aired on Crossroads.

As usual, the Video of the Year category features a whopping 16 nominees. Fan voting for that category begins today, and the total will be narrowed down to six videos on April 1; the top three finalists from the second round of voting will be announced April 7, the day before the CMT Music Awards. (Voting for all categories is open now.)

Along with being up for three awards, Kelsea Ballerini will also host the 2024 CMT Music Awards. The country star will be hosting the show for the fourth straight year, though she’ll be doing it solo for the fist time after helming the show alongside Kane Brown.
