CM Punk has returned to the WWE ring.
CM Punk walked out of WWE in 2014. After later returning to wrestling by signing with AEW in 2021, he was released by the company in September 2023 following a second backstage altercation at AEW All In. Punk then returned to WWE at WWE Survivor Series. He had not wrestled in his multiple appearances following his comeback.
At the WWE live event at Madison Square Garden on December 26, Punk faced Dominik Mysterio. This marked his first match in a WWE ring since the 2014 Royal Rumble, and his first singles bout since the January 20, 2014, episode of WWE RAW.
