CM Punk emerged victorious in his return to pay-per-view.
Punk faced Satoshi Kojima in an Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament quarterfinal bout at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door. In doing so, he wrestled on his first AEW pay-per-view since AEW All Out. Punk and Kojima battled it out in a hard-hitting match.

In the end, the former AEW World Champion clinched the win with the GTS. The victory kicked off the Owen Hart Foundation Cup Men’s Tournament. Punk’s opponent will be determined on the July 1 episode of AEW Collision, where Samoa Joe will face Roderick Strong in a quarterfinal match.
