Rock & Roll Hall of Famers and six-time Grammy Award winners the Eagles have announced their "The Long Goodbye Final Tour" will make a stop in Kentucky this fall.

The iconic rock band behind hits like "Hotel California," "Take It Easy" and "Lyin' Eyes" will make their way to Rupp Arena in Lexington in November, the band announced Thursday.

The Eagles, who performed at the KFC Yum! Center in May 2022 as part of the "Hotel California Tour," have decided that after playing more than 1,000 concerts throughout their 52 years of touring, the time has come to call it quits.

"The Long Goodbye" is expected to last into 2025.

"We know how fortunate we are, and we are truly grateful," the band said in a statement. "Everything has its time, and the time has come for us to close the circle."

In the Fall of 1971, the Eagles formed and pioneered a uniquely American musical style blending country, folk, R&B, rock, and pop genres, and would go on to become one of the most creatively and commercially successful bands of all time.

The band’s Greatest Hits 1971-1977 is the best-selling album in history. Hotel California, released in 1976, is the third best-selling U.S. album in history. After its release, it topped the charts and earned two Grammy Awards for “New Kid In Town” and “Hotel California.”

The Eagles were the first official concert at the KFC Yum! Center on October 16, 2010 and returned in 2022 as part of the venue's 11-year anniversary celebration.
