CLIP: Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes Scene Reveals Thousands of CGI Apes

Apes rule the world in the latest clip promoting upcoming sci-fi blockbuster Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

The clip, shown below, is called What a Wonderful Day, and sees thousands of CGI apes gather in the shadow of a rusted ship. Some are on horseback, while others wield spears.

The apes certainly aren't hard to spot (but Deadpool fans spot 7 secret Marvel characters in the Deadpool and Wolverine trailer).

They’ve come to hear a speech by King Proximus, who asks the crowd, “Are we grateful for the words of Caesar? Do we bend our heads? Do we say his words?”

The crowd responds in unison with, “Apes together strong,” a reference to Caesar's enduring line first communicated via sign language in 2011’s Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes takes place 300 years after Caesar's reign, but the former ape leader’s legacy remains. King Proximus, however, seems to be exploiting that adoration for his own ends.

There’s something untrustworthy about that ape...Watch him in the clip below.
