Country artist Jelly Roll will kick off Tailgate N’ Tallboys Festival in Clinton next year.

Jason DeFord, or Jelly Roll, won three CMT Music Awards earlier this year and is nominated for five CMA awards, which will air in November.

The rapper turned country musician is known for songs like 2021’s “Son of a Sinner” and this year’s release, “Need a Favor.” Jelly Roll has amassed more than 7 million monthly listeners on Spotify.

He’ll headline Thursday, June 6, when Tailgate N’ Tallboys kicks off.

Joining Jelly Roll for the weekend are headliners Bailey Zimmerman on Friday and rockers Shinedown on Saturday.

Zimmerman is a songwriter whose song “Rock And A Hard Place” peaked at No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart earlier this year. Zimmerman is also behind chart toppers “Fall In Love” and “Religiously.”

Shinedown is a rock band from Florida that formed in the early 2000s, finding success with songs like “Cut the Cord,” “Sound of Madness,” and their cover of Lynryd Skynyrd’s “Simple Man.”

Tailgate N’ Tallboys Music Festival will be located at 101 S. First St. in Clinton.

Tickets are available to purchase on tailgatentallboys.com/clinton.
