Clinton Campaign Adds Tim Kaine Events to L.A. Fundraising Blitz

Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine will raise money at the SLS Hotel in Los Angeles on Aug. 20, as the campaign of Hillary Clinton schedules a slew of late summer events.

According to an invite, the $1,000 per person evening event will raise money for the Hillary Victory Fund, which splits contributions between the Clinton campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state parties. Co-hosts who contribute or raise $10,000 will get a photo with Kaine, and those who contribute or raise $33,400 will get access to a pre-event reception.

Kaine also is headlining a fundraiser earlier in the day in San Diego at the home of attorney Jeffrey Krinsk and his wife Marcy, along with former Rep. Lynn Schenk.

Clinton will be in Los Angeles the following Monday, Aug. 22, for a dinner event at the Beverly Hills home of Haim and Cheryl Saban, preceded by a reception just down the street at the home of Magic Johnson and his wife Cookie. The current list of other hosts includes Sean Burton and his wife Teresa, Peter Chernin and his wife Megan, Willow Bay and Bob Iger, Jeffrey and Marilyn Katzenberg, Dr. Andy Khawaja, Michael Kives, Sanford Michelman and his wife Laura, Thomas and Alba Tull, Ellen Goldsmith-Vein and Jon Vein and Casey and Laura Wasserman.

On Aug. 23, she is scheduled for a lunchtime event at the home of Leonardo DiCaprio, with a list of co-hosts including Tobey and Jennifer Maguire, Jennifer Aniston, Scooter and Yael Braun, Shonda Rhimes, Chris Silbermann and Rick and Christina Yorn.

According to Politico, Clinton’s campaign sent out a letter to high level donors on Monday warning them of the $80 million raised in July by Donald Trump. That was just $10 million less that Clinton’s campaign reported raising for her campaign and Democratic party committees.

According to Federal Election Commission records, Sam Nazarian, the founder of SBE Entertainment, parent company of SLS Hotels, has given to the Clinton campaign as well as to Trump Victory, the fund set up to raise money for Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee.
