Clint Eastwood goes back to his western roots donning a cowboy hat in the first trailer for his upcoming film Cry Macho.

The 91-year-old filmmaker, who shot to fame in iconic cowboy show Rawhide before starring in A Fistful of Dollars and many other films in the genre, stars in and directs the film which sees him playing Mike Milo, a one-time rodeo star and washed-up horse breeder.

Set in 1979, it sees Milo taking a job from an ex-boss to bring the man’s young son home from Mexico. The unlikely pair face an unexpectedly challenging journey, during which the world-weary horseman finds unexpected connections and his own sense of redemption.
