Mark your calendar for Trout Unlimited's introductory fly tying classes, to be held at the Episcopal Church in Norris, starting Saturday, Jan. 15. All classes will be at the church and start at 9 a.m. and last until noon, according to a news release.

All materials and tools will be provided by the chapter. Experienced tyers will demonstrate each fly and provide one-on-one help in the class.

You will learn to tie nine different patterns over the course of six weeks. The course will run from Jan. 15 through Feb. 26, in the event of a snow day, March 5 will be a make-up day. In this class you will learn techniques that will give you the ability to tie many other styles and types of flies to fish tail waters and our mountain streams.

The cost of the six-week class is $125 per person. The class is limited to 12 students, according to the release.

The location is at St. Francis Episcopal Church, 158 West Norris Road, Norris.
