Released in 2017, Classroom of the Elite season 3 is almost around the corner. The series initially seemed like a slice-of-life anime set in a peculiar high school. However, by the end of season one, audiences saw a different face of the protagonist, Kiyotaka Ayanokoji.

Classroom of the Elite is a psychological fest with sophisticated ideas. It’s true when they say, “Don’t blink or you’ll miss it,” when it comes to Kinugasa’s story. These factors have excited fans even more for Classroom of the Elite season 3.

To keep fans excited, Classroom of the Elite recently revealed a key visual, portraying Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and Arisu Sakayanagi at a figurative and literal crossroads. The series is looking forward to dropping a thrilling third season.

The highly anticipated sequel of the series will be released in January 2024. The original release window for the series was back in July 2023, which got delayed due to various resources and production issues. Season 3 of the anime will conclude the first year of the story. It is based on nine light novels and two manga volumes by Shogo Kinugasa, with illustrations done by Shunsaku Tomose.

Classroom of the Elite is chief-directed by Hiroyuki Hashimoto and Seiji Kishi. Yoshihito Nishoji directs the series at Studio Lerche, with series composition by Hayato Kazano and character designs by Kazuaki Morita.

Fans can watch the entire series on Crunchyroll, with episodes available in both subtitles and dubs.

On the official website of Classroom of the Elite, the synopsis of the series reads, “Kiyotaka Ayanokoji has just enrolled at Tokyo Koudo Ikusei Senior High School, where it’s said that 100% of students go on to college or find employment. But he ends up in Class 1-D, full of all the school’s problem children.”

It continues, “Moreover, every month, the school awards students points with a cash value of 100,000 yen, and the classes employ a laissez-faire policy in which talking, sleeping, and even sabotage are permitted during class. One month later, Ayanokoji, Horikita, and the students of Class D learn the truth of the system in place within their school.”
