SOUTH BEND — The Indiana University South Bend Civil Rights Heritage Center presents a lecture by flutist Galen Abdur-Razzaq from 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 28 at 1040 W. Washington St.

He will talk about the history of women in jazz.

Abdur-Razzaq studied at Berklee College of Music and holds a master’s degree in education and performing arts from Rutgers University in New Jersey.

He has appeared on recordings by artists such as Jimmy Heath, Sunny Phillips, Sun Ra, Freda Payne, Billy Taylor, Melba Moore and Loretta Devine.
