City Girls JT Details Prison Experience Days After Release

City Girls JT is getting personal with fans after serving over a year behind bars.

The 26-year-old rapper took to social media to detail her prison experience. She describes learning from the other women inmates’ stories.

JT wrote, “I was locked up w/ so many women who were in prison because they kept it real w/ men & those men did not keep it real with them! I want y’all to know that whatever you do DONT let a man influence you in the moment of “love” if he love you he wouldn’t put you in situations PERIOD.”

She continued, “& it’s not called being stupid, it’s called being influenced In a state of vulnerability! We taking these ni--as money & putting our self first from here on out!😜 -citygirls."

Last week, JT was released from a Tallahassee prison after serving over a year behind bars.

The other half of City Girls, Yung Miami, announced the news on social media. She wrote, “YOU BI-CHES IN TROUBLE!! MY BI-CH HOME! ❤️🎈 @thegirljt”

JT’s original release date was March 21, 2020. City Girls celebrated JT’s release by dropping a new track titled “JT First Day Out.”

Last year, JT started a 24 months prison sentence after surrendering on June 25, 2018, for charges relating to felony identity theft. She will have to complete one year of probation following her release.

Prosecutors claimed that between September 2016 through April 2017, Johnson allegedly used three different peoples credit cards and spending more than $1,000. She was facing up to 10 years in prison on the charges.

As The Blast first reported, JT was able to successfully push back her prison check-in date by name dropping Drake to the judge, saying City Girls was about to blow up and she needed to wrap up some projects before starting her sentence. The judge granted the motion and gave JT an additional 30 days back at the time.
