BENTON HARBOR — The Citadel Dance & Music Center presents “Fly Me to the Moon” at 8 p.m. Sept. 9 at LakeMichigan College’s Mendel Center, 2755 E. Napier Ave.

The evening features the Lake Effect Jazz Big Band, vocalists Andrew Fisher and Rebecca Selvidge, and the Citadel Dance Companies performing two sets of music by Frank Sinatra and from the Golden Age Songbook in a “jazz night club” atmosphere.

The Lake Effect Jazz Band is a 22-piece big band led by Steven Reed. Fisher teaches voice at the Citadel and leads the Andrew Fisher Quartet. Selvidge is the director of choirs and a music lecturer at Lake Michigan College. The Citadel Dance Companies are Citadel’s premier dance ensembles, led by Lari Lawrence-Gist, director of dance.

A “radio style” intermission will also feature some of Fisher’s Citadel voice students.
