Cigarettes After Sex, the psychedelic pop band formed in El Paso in 2008, is returning to its hometown tonight, Oct. 11, for a performance at the Don Haskins Center.

The band arrives in El Paso after a two-night stint in Austin, where they took part in the prestigious Austin City Limits Music Festival.

A few tickets for the El Paso concert are still available, ranging from $51 to $391, and can be purchased online through Visit El Paso. Concertgoers can receive 20% off on tickets using code 327RK20.

Cigarettes After Sex was established by El Paso native Greg Gonzalez, who recorded the band's first album in a stairway at the University of Texas at El Paso, his alma mater. Gonzalez relocated to Brooklyn and the band's music began picking up steam on YouTube, leading to performances across Europe, Asia and the United States.

The band's most recent album, Cry, was released in 2019. Currently, Cigarettes After Sex boasts over 18.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, where it ranks 329th in the world for streams.
