Churches unite for festival of hymns and songs at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium

LAPORTE — Faith and Community United presents “Singspiration” at 3:30 p.m. CDT Oct. 15 at the LaPorte Civic Auditorium, 1001 Ridge St.

The program includes a diverse selection of familiar hymns and songs presented by area music groups as well as those in attendance.

Featured performers are The North American Brass Company Quintet (from the LaPorte County Symphony Orchestra), The Singing Co. of LaPorte County, the Hispanic Choir from LaPorte’s Holy Family Parish and the Revival Center Music Ministry Choir from Michigan City.

Faith and Community United is a group of local church leaders working to make sure local churches make a positive impact on enhancing the quality of life for everyone in the community.

Admission is free, but a freewill offering to support LaPorte Habitat for Humanity (especially its recent projects at the site of the former Tibma Bakery) will be taken.
