  • A Chuck E. Cheese-themed competition show was announced on Tuesday from the makers of Top Chef and Nailed It!

  • Adult contestants will play giant versions of classic arcade games like pinball and air hockey

  • The series is in development so a network and premiere date has not yet been announced

Chuck E. Cheese is the place where a kid could be a kid — but the show inspired by the iconic play center is all for adults.

On Tuesday, Magical Elves, the production company behind Top Chef, announced that they are developing a game show inspired by Chuck E. Cheese.

According to a press release, the series will “tap into nostalgia with physical competitions” for adults inspired by the brand’s many games.

Adults dubbed “big kids” will compete with “supersized” arcade games like air hockey, alley roller, pinball and the human claw. The duo who wins the most tickets (like at actual Chuck E. Cheese joints!) will trade in the tickets for prizes via a “massive version of the iconic Chuck E. Cheese prize wall.”

Around for over four decades, Chuck E. Cheese is truly multi-generational. Magical Elves co-CEOs Jo Sharon and Casey Kriley agree this is exactly why fans will be drawn to the show. "Chuck E. Cheese is THE place where a kid can be a kid – but as grown adults, we still have dreams of ruling the arcade, taking on the iconic games we love!" the pair said in a joint statement.

Details, including where and when the show will air, are yet to be announced.

Chuck E. Cheese has expanded in more ways than one. In August, the company debuted the release of Buddy Valastro’s “Buddy V’s Cake Slices” at Chuck E. Cheese.

The father of four visited a Chuck E. Cheese in Union, New Jersey, to launch the expansion of his cake-by-the-slice brand into the family entertainment center by handing out samples of his cakes to all the kids in the store.

“My dream was to make my bakery a household name — it was me and my father’s dream. We did that with Cake Boss,” the Carlo’s Bakery owner told PEOPLE. “Now the question is: How do I find different avenues to let people taste my cake?”

Buddy saw Chuck E. Cheese as the perfect venue, especially with cherished family memories of his own kids’ parties.

“I remember when one of the boys, I think it was Buddy [Jr.], when he was a baby, we obviously had the bakery, and my husband made a three-tier Chuck E. Cheese cake for his birthday,” said Buddy's wife Lisa. “It was like 30 kids and we had to shut down half of Chuck E. Cheese.”
