Christopher Walken made his first appearance on Saturday Night Live in more than decade as he appeared as a surprise guest during the cold open of this weekend’s episode.
The 80-year-old actor portrayed a mythical character named “Papa Pumpkin,” who appeared in the Oval Office to teach President Joe Biden the meaning of Halloween.
Walken also stuck around to introduce Foo Fighters as musical guest in only the way Christopher Walken can.
Walken has hosted SNL seven times, but prior to tonight he hadn’t appeared on the show since 2008.
