Christine Quinn’s Husband Files for Divorce Before She Can
The last few weeks have been a whirlwind of chaos and heartache for Christine Quinn and Christian Richard. First, Christian got arrested for domestic violence after allegedly throwing an object at Christine. He missed and accidentally hit their toddler. Then, the two started filing court documents requesting restraining orders against each other. The allegations from both sides have been disturbing.
On one side, you have Christine alleging that Christian’s attack was just the latest outburst in an increasingly volatile marriage. Meanwhile, Christian said that Christine was manipulating the narrative and lying about what started the fight in the first place. Either way, sources said Christine was gearing up for a divorce. Now, according to TMZ, Christian just beat her to the punch.
Christian pulled the plug
After two years of marriage, Christian submitted his divorce filing on Friday, April 5. It’s an unfortunate ending to a marriage that we all witnessed in Season 3 of Selling Sunset. In the divorce filing, he listed their reason for separation as “irreconcilable differences.”
It’s not clear if Christian and Christine had a prenup, but in the divorce documents, he’s making some big demands. He requested sole legal and physical custody of their son. He also doesn’t want Christine to be able to seek spousal support.
Christian signaled that they could divvy up their properties and assets, but he wants to keep anything that he’s made since their separation. However, he didn’t list of date of separation. He left that as “to be determined.”
Another lingering element of this divorce is Christine and Christian’s cryptocurrency real estate company. When Christine left Selling Sunset, she boasted about this new brokerage they formed. Who’s going to get that in the divorce?
