It's official: Christina Hall just broke the internet...alongside her ex-husband...and, yes, his current wife. Let's back up, shall we? If you made it to this corner of the internet, you probably know all about the ins and outs of the HGTV star's relationship with Tarek El Moussa: The couple got married in 2009, rose to renovation fame with their show Flip or Flop, and eventually separated in 2016. El Moussa now has a family with Selling Sunset star Heather Rae, and they have their own HGTV show, while the Christina on the Coast lead is now married to Josh Hall.
Since Christina and Tarek share two children, Taylor and Brayden, we know they former couple still keeps in touch; however, we rarely see them hanging out together. Well, until today, when Christina, Heather Rae, and Tarek posted a now-viral Instagram Reel. The 10-second clip starts with Christina and Heather Rae in identical outfits: A silky black camisole, ripped jeans, gold hoops, and a portion of their wavy blonde manes tied into a braid. Each one jokingly introduces herself as the other, in a cheeky nod to their striking resemblance. (Two blonde home girlies? Tarek has a type.) After a beat, the real Heather Rae says, "Wait, that's not right." Christina replies, "Must be all that bleach."
The camera then zooms out to show Tarek, dressed in all black and sitting in front of the two women. "Well," he says. "I guess it is confusing." That's it. That's the video.
It's only natural that a video that short—and, honestly, that cryptic—would have the internet's jaw on the floor. Viewers have so many questions. For starters, what is going on?! "I’m so uncomfortable and proud of you all at the same time," one person commented. "Great sense of humor from everyone!" "What no one had on their bingo card for this lovely Tuesday," another wrote. Meanwhile, fans were quick to celebrate this blended family, calling the video "co-parenting at its finest." One fan wrote, "I love seeing and exes and their new partner get together especially when kids are involved. It just makes for a better world."
But over at House Beautiful, we're convinced that something else is brewing under the surface. Maybe a crossover episode? A new show starring this dynamic...erm, trio? Turns out, we're not the only who are living for this HGTV conspiracy theory. "I feel like this is a promo for something." an Instagramer noted.
