Christina Hall Addresses ‘Highly Offensive’ Rumor That She Refuses to Work with Women: ‘Load of Sh–’

The ‘Christina on the Coast’ star shut down the gossip in an Instagram post on Thursday

Christina Hall is setting the record straight.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, the HGTV star, 40, shared a photo from an “impromptu work dinner” she enjoyed with her husband Josh and some colleagues. In the caption, she went on to shut down a rumor she heard about herself recently.

“Side note,” she wrote. “Recently a coworker of mine told me a former employer told him I refused to work with women because I was some sort of ?? Not sure what the word is because I don’t identify with whatever it is…”

She continues: “I’ve always worked with females so that’s a load of sh-- and highly offensive. My current ‘Christina on the Coast’ team is the most fun and on point it’s ever been and I see a lot of females here. So to those who love to throw stones that’s just your own internal struggle ✌🏼.”

Christina is used to "shutting out negativity" when it comes to haters on social media. During an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in Jan. 2023, the design expert opened up about how she deals with online hate.

"I allow myself a little time to be upset," she revealed, "and usually the things that upset me are when people make direct statements about things they have no idea about. Sometimes that'll really irritate me and then I'll talk to [my husband] Josh about it."

The Flip or Flop alum continued, "The thing is, people already have a preconceived notion in their head. You could literally show them the truth and they could still be like, no, that's not the truth." She added, “The older I get, the less I care.”

Christina’s husband Josh has proved he’ll always help his wife block out negative comments and put haters in their place.

In an April 2022 post, the former police officer shared a sweet tribute to Christina on Instagram accompanied by photos of the couple hugging by a pool.

"This woman I get to call mine is nothing short of incredible," Josh wrote in the caption. “No one or no thing will keep her from achieving happiness/success. She doesn't need anyone's validation and certainly doesn't let anyone's disapproval affect what she does with HER life."

He continued: "Reminder: social media is not reality. Some of the best moments are never captured by cameras and are not posted in any social media platforms. They are kept in private and are cherished together with those involved."

Christina and Josh secretly tied the knot at the beginning of 2022 and, later that same year, the pair exchanged vows in a romantic Hawaiian ceremony.

Josh also became a stepfather to Christina’s kids. She shares two older children  – Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8 — with her ex-husband Tarek El Moussa. She also has a younger son named Hudson, 4, from her previous relationship with Ant Anstead.
