Anderson walked up to the Emmy-winning star and walked with her to the podium to present the Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series category.

Applegate was moved by the reception, with tears flooding her eyes. The Dead to Me star took a moment to gather herself and gave Anderson a hug during the emotional moment.

“You’re totally shaming me with disability by standing up, but it’s OK,” Applegate joked before adding, “Body not by Ozempic.”

Later on, Applegate would quip about the man who accompanied her on stage, saying, “I actually don’t need him here; he’s just really cute.”

Last year, Applegate opened up about being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and said she “probably is not going to work on-camera again.”

“Ping-pong is so much more fun when the other person is just as good as you are. I’m probably not going to work on-camera again, but I’m so glad that I went out with someone who is by far the greatest actress I’ve ever worked with in my entire life, if not the greatest human I’ve ever known,” Applegate told Vanity Fair.

Despite not working on-camera, Applegate said she was open to doing voiceover work adding, “I can’t even imagine going to set right now. This is a progressive disease. I don’t know if I’m going to get worse. I can do voiceover stuff because I have to support my family and keep my brain working.”
