Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler are 'good anxious' about new podcast where they open up about MS

Applegate was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2021, while Sigler was diagnosed decades ago.
Christina Applegate took the stage at the 2024 Emmys to a loud standing ovation. "We don't have to applaud every time I do something," she joked after mentioning her Married... With Children character, Kelly Bundy.
The comedian arrived on stage using a cane and on the arm of host Anthony Anderson because, in 2021, she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Now, the beloved actress. is opening up even more about her life with MS in a new podcast with The Sopranos' Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who also has MS.

Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn SiglerThe two were connected by friend Lance Bass after Applegate was diagnosed. Sigler reflected on her own journey with PEOPLE in 2016, 15 years after learning she had MS.
"I wanted to give her tools and things that I've learned that have helped me," Sigler told PEOPLE in a new interview with Applegate this week.
"We haven't stopped talking since," Applegate added. "We have each other, and that's helped us so much."
They spent hours on the phone, which eventually blossomed into the upcoming podcast MeSsy, which will debut on March 19. "We would talk on the phone for two hours, and we'd be laughing and crying, and we were like, 'This is helping us. Let's record this. Let's do it,'" Applegate said.
The podcast will offer frank and darkly funny discussions of their challenges with MS, Applegate and Sigler shared, adding that it's not just a podcast about MS.
"It's not about the specific experience we're having. It's us facing something hard, and it's about figuring out how to still push through," Sigler said. "I've never been more...nervous isn't the word, but like a good anxious about any project I've ever put out more than this, because I care so deeply about it. We are sharing the deepest parts of ourselves."
The podcast won't only feature the pair of actresses. Upcoming episodes will include friends and former costars like Martin Short and Edie Falco, per PEOPLE.
