Edie Falco says she sometimes mourns the end of her time parenting little kids.

"Nobody talks about when those little kids disappear – it’s like a death," says Falco, 60, whose son, Anderson, is 19 and whose daughter, Macy, is 16.

Falco swaps parenting stories and more alongside her Sopranos star Jamie-Lynn Sigler, on the second episode of MeSsy, Sigler's new podcast with Christina Applegate, PEOPLE has an exclusive preview of the podcast episode before it comes out March 26.

Sigler, 42, whose two boys Jack and Beau are 5 and 10, is still navigating the younger years, but she says on the podcast that she's "holding on to all the little baby things" like the fact that her son Jack has just lost his first teeth and that his hand "still doesn’t have knuckles."

Adds Applegate, whose daughter Sadie is 13, “To know we’re not going to get that back freaks me out.'"

Falco says she treasures memories of those early days. "Early parenting stuff is madness but it’s some of the most divine, precious hours of my life," the Nurse Jackie star says on the podcast. "When they both fall asleep on you when you’re watching TV and it’s quiet and you realize, 'Oh my God I didn’t know I could feel this love.' And then they’re just gone forever and ever, and they’re just memories and are all over your iPhone!"

Applegate, who's admitted that living with multiple sclerosis has changed how she can parent, jokes that she wants to keep her daughter as close as possible, as long as possible: “I told Sadie when she goes to college, wherever it is, I’ll be moving in with her. I highly encourage Los Angeles-based universities. I’m like, ‘Why would you live in a dorm when we have our nice house?’ I’m doing everything I can to make her stay here.”

Applegate and SIgler started the podcast, which debuted March 19, after their mutual friend Lance Bass encouraged them to connect because of their shared MS diagnoses. "We'd talk on the phone for hours, laughing and crying," the Dead to Me star told PEOPLE of her friendship with Sigler. "And then we were like, 'This is helping us. Let's record this.'"

MeSsy chronicles their MS journeys but it's not just about MS — "That would be boring," jokes Applegate. The podcast also features friends and co-stars like Martin Short and Falco, who confessed to Sigler that she felt "intimidated" by her on the set of The Sopranos, despite the fact that Sigler was still a teen when she began the series.

"You portrayed yourself as so confident," Falco told Sigler. "And the truth is when I was a kid in high school I was a weirdo and when I would meet girls like you, I was terrified of them. They just looked like they knew what was going on and how to be with people. To be honest with you, I was intimidated by you. That is the truth."

Sigler was touched by the admission: "That is wild to me because I was such a little mess inside. I felt so undeserving every moment I was there."

The two also bonded over the fact that they both struggled with health issues while they were filming The Sopranos. Sigler hid the fact that she had been diagnosed with MS, while Falco was quietly being treated for breast cancer. But in both cases, Sigler says, their co-star James Gandolfini knew something was wrong — and they each confided in him.

"They were calling in acting coaches to the set for me because I could’t tell anybody what was wrong but people could tell something was wrong," Sigler said. To Falco, she said, "I'm so sorry when you were going through breast cancer, and that a lot of it was quietly. You said Jim called you out and said something is up. He did the same thing to me. He pulled me aside one day and said, 'Something is wrong and you’re not telling anybody,' and in that moment I told him."
