Christina Aguilera Denies She Tried to Punch Pink, But Says She Did Try to Kiss Her

Christina Aguilera is opening up about her past with Pink.

On Thursday’s episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Aguilera addressed an infamous incident between her and the “What About Us” singer during the early stages of their careers.

In 2017, Pink appeared on the Bravo talk show and revealed that there had been some bad blood between them and claimed at one stage Aguilera took a swing at her in a nightclub. Aguilera, however, remembers the night differently.

“I heard about that story and I saw the clip of it,” Aguilera, 38, told Cohen during the “Plead the Fifth” segment. “It’s so funny because I’ve seen her Behind the Music and I know she has some feelings about how the recording of ‘Lady Marmalade’ went down.”

Though Aguilera acknowledged that she was initially “intimidated” by Pink when they collaborated on the track in 2001, she eventually came to learn that the 39-year-old singer has changed since then.

“She was heckling me in the audience a little bit behind the director,” she said of Pink. “I was like, ‘Oh, What’s going on?’ But that’s what she did back then.”

“She’s a different person now,” Aguilera added. “She’s a mom. She’s cool.”

Of the claims that Aguilera threw a punch at Pink, the “Ain’t No Other Man” singer denied doing so — but does recall a more intimate interaction with Pink.

“I seem to have a different memory of a night we had at a club where we played spin the bottle. I have a love memory,” she explained. “Look at her and look at me, I wouldn’t swing on her! She can beat my ass, are you kidding me?”

“I was excited about a kiss. I was like, a kiss and all’s good,” she added of her thought process. “And then she put her hand up like this [covering her mouth] and I was like, ‘Oh, that’s what we’re doing? Alright.'”

“She didn’t want to get ‘Dirrty,'” Aguilera joked, referencing her 2002 hit song.

When Pink visited the show two years ago, she explained that they had made amends since their feud in the early 2000s.

“We were super young and super new at the whole thing, and I think I’m an alpha, and she’s an alpha,” Pink said of their feud, also during the “Plead the Fifth” segment.

She continued, “I’m used to taking my altercations physical and she’s used to having them verbal. We’re just very different, we’re very different. And we were very young and new.”

“You have to learn — women have to learn how to support each other,” she added. “It’s not taught to each other in the playground.”

When Cohen asked if Pink had attempted to make an argument into a physical fight, the pop star revealed, “Actually, she swung at me in a club. Hilarious!”

“I was like, ‘What’s happening right now? What’s happening?'” she said.

The two singers allegedly clashed when they recorded “Lady Marmalade” — reportedly over who would sing the highest notes in the song.

Although they didn’t get along in their youth, Pink insisted she and Aguilera are now fine.

“She’s so talented and deep down I’ve had bad days, too,” she said. “She’s a really sweet person. We made up on The Voice. I mean, it was funny, I laughed. I hadn’t seen her in years and years and years.”

As for how they managed to get over their differences, the “What About Us” singer simply said, “We became moms. We grew up. We hugged it out. It’s that simple. I feel so good about that.”
