The A-list stars showed out in Christian Louboutin shoes for this year’s 77th Annual Cannes Film Festival.
Each year, the Cannes Film Festival brings out many different A-list celebrities as films of all genres are shown across a number of events. The festival is responsible for many hot-topic red carpets and photo calls globally, which often spark many viral social media fashion moments. This year at Cannes, the stars elected Christian Louboutin as their footwear choice for the many different premieres and events they attended over these past week.
Christian Louboutin continues to be among the most globally recognized luxury shoe designers. Born in January 1963 circa Paris, Louboutin started his career as a freelance designer, officially launching his own shoe salon in 1991. In the thirty-plus years since, the brand has become recognized for their red bottoms and high-quality craftsmanship, revolutionizing the fashion industry with their bold designs and commitment to innovation. Louboutin shoes are also a widely requested namesake popular amongst the likes of celebrities and influential figures in the couture space.
This included Nick Jonas, Colman Domingo, Demi Moore and more, all of whom have chosen to wear Louboutin in Cannes.
Nick Jonas was seen Thursday evening wearing a pair of the Christian Louboutin Chambeliss Night Strass dress shoes. The derbies are made with patent leather and feature a round-toe design, a removable silver tone bar piercing, a stacked heel and a lace-up vamp. The brand’s signature Louboutin red leather outsole completes the model.
Demi Moore was spotted leaving Hôtel Martinez last week in a pair of Christian Louboutin Red Velvet Peep Toe platforms. Crafted with velvet, the shoes included peep toes, knotted uppers, platforms, and a towering 6-inch stiletto heel. Additionally, earlier this week, Moore attended Chopard’s “Once Upon A Time” evening in Cannes wearing the Cordura Strappy pumps in Calipso. Made with nappa leather, the shoes include an almost 4-inch thin stiletto heel, a baby pink finish on the sole and a delicately thin wrap-around ankle strap and buckle for closure.
Colman Domingo opted for a pair of the brand’s Roadie Calf Leather boots to attend Thursday’s amFAR Cannes Gala, which are constructed with patent leather material, and feature a short block heel that clocks in at about 1.5 inches.
Selena Gomez attended the “Emilia Perez” photo call at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday wearing Christian Louboutin’s patent leather Kate 100 pumps in red. The shoes featured a pointed-toe, slip-on silhouette and 4-inch stiletto heel.
Michelle Rodriguez was photographed on Monday attending the “The Shrouds” red carpet at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival at Palais des Festivals wearing a sleek black pair of peep-toe Christian Louboutin pumps that featured a leather construction and a stiletto heel measuring approximately 4 inches.
Greta Gerwig chose to wear a pair of white platform pumps from a limited-edition collaboration between Maison Margiela Paris and Christian Louboutin to the Cannes Film Festival jury photo call on Monday. The patent leather pump was first introduced in 1988, and features the trademark Tabi toe split.
