Fish Fry at Christ the King Church

1708 Horseshoe Drive in Adrian's Hall | 4-6:30 p.m. every Friday through March 22 | The Knights of Columbus 4286 Lenten Dinner includes fried or baked fish with homemade tartar sauce, baked potato, coleslaw, veggie, roll, dessert, coffee, and lemonade. Dine in or take out. Cost is $12 for adults or $8 for children 12 and younger. Cash or credit cards are accepted. Proceeds from the dinner go to numerous charities in Pueblo County. The event also will include a bake sale to support the Capuchin Poor Clare Sisters in Pueblo. New members are welcome.

Open Chess Tournament at City Park

George L. Williams Pavilion, 801 Goodnight Ave. | Registration at 9 a.m., first round 9:30 a.m. | Chess players of all strengths are invited. Entry fee is $10 for adults or $5 for ages 15 and younger. Cash prizes will be awarded. No membership is required. There are some sets and boards, but most players should plan on bringing their own. Amateur Radio Email Presentation at the Masonic Lodge

126 Broadway Ave. | 1-3 p.m. | The free event is hosted by Ron Brown, call sign W0EER, who is connected to the global ham radio email system. Modern 'hams' use digital communications to talk across the globe, including email delivered by radio. Brown will be presenting an overview of the WinLink email system and demonstrating how to connect your radio to the local gateway. Parking is in the rear parking lot. Pueblo Stamp Club Meeting at Rawlings Library

Abriendo Ave., Thurston Meeting Room | 1-3 p.m. | Discussion will focus on identifying and collecting Cinderella stamps, which are stamps that were never intended to be used for postage, such as Easter Seals, Christmas Seals, and telegraph stamps. The meeting is free and open to the public. All ages are welcome. Donations of U.S. and foreign stamps for free distribution at club meetings are welcome.

Silent Book Club at The Ethos

"Where Dreams Begin" art exhibit opens at Steel City Art Works

216 S. Union Ave. | 5-8 p.m. | The First Friday Art Walk opening exhibit features refreshments and the work of Chavez Huerta Preparatory Academy students; as well as Kathy Chavez, mosaic artist; Raymond McCoy, photographer; Philip Radar, oil painter; and Cheryl Scott, who makes whimsical art with recycled materials. Student art is on display through March 12, and the adult show runs all month. The gallery is free and hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon-4 p.m. Sunday.
