Parenthood is a cruel reminder that we aren’t as young as we used to be. It feels like just a few years ago that we were playing sports in high school — so why do we have elementary-aged kids already?! The fact that my 7-year-old is closer to his freshman year of college than I am to mine just doesn’t sit right. So when John Legend revealed that Chrissy Teigen also tries to keep up with their 8-year-old daughter Luna, I felt seen. Especially since her attempt at youth led to her needing a neck brace!

Let’s start at the beginning. The Cravings author posted a photo of herself at home in a neck brace last Monday during the Met Gala (although she later claimed she was never planning on going to the Met anyway). At the time, Chrissy wrote, “I tried to do a headstand,” per Entertainment Tonight. Oof, not fun! Then, Legend gave ET an update on his brave wife at The Voice live show last night.

“She hurt her neck trying to be, like, an acrobat — which she’s not,” Legend told the outlet. “Sometimes she’s daring and she’ll try things.”

“I think she may have been watching Luna too much,” Legend continued, adding that their eldest child does “real gymnastics.” “But [Chrissy] got in her head that she could try this and it was not a good idea,” he said.

Aww, poor Chrissy! We’ve all been there trying to channel our younger selves. Luckily, though, the “All of Me” singer assured fans, “She’s doing much better now.”

Teigen and Legend are also parents to Miles, 5, Esti, 16 months, and Wren, 10 months. The Chrissy & Dave Dine Out star seems to be fully recovered, because she just shared tons of photos and videos of life with her four kids.

“Another riveting weekend here at groundhog 90210,” Teigen captioned the post. In one video, she and Luna are working together to build an indoor playset. “We got this, we got this! We’re doing it. Girls only,” Teigen says in the video. Luna looks at the camera and assures, “Yeah, no boys needed!”

In another photo, she gives Miles a big kiss on the bleachers after watching his baseball game. There’s also a video of Luna and Esti walking together and holding hands; a video of Wren in adorable overalls clapping for his brother; and a video of Miles showing off his lost tooth. “I lost a tooth today, when I was eating the fruit,” Miles sing-said in the selfie video. They are so, so cute!

“Love seeing photos of your beautiful kids.❤️❤️❤️❤️” one person commented. Another wrote, “Darling babies!!!👏👏👏❤️”

Teigen may not be able to do headstands anymore, but there are plenty of other ways she can connect with her kids instead. We may not be as young as we once were, but life just keeps getting sweeter!
