Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Lake Como wedding nearly a decade ago was a romantic and intimate affair — but one of the model’s fondest memories from the ceremony is one that still makes her laugh to this day.

“Something funny that happened during our vows, John’s uncle was the pastor, and he was officiating our wedding, and I dropped the ring,” she says. “I, of course, said ‘oh, sh--,’ into the mic, and he was just a little taken aback by it. He was like, ‘That’s Chrissy.’”

The silly moment is still “a cherished memory” from Teigen and Legend’s special day.

Teigen, 37, added that while the day was perfect, if she could go back in time and change one thing, she'd do a little more dancing.

During the reception, Stevie Wonder took to the stage where he performed “Ribbon in the Sky” for the couple’s first dance.

“He performed our first dance, but I didn't have a first dance,” she says. “I really wasn't dancing because I was just — I'm too nervous to dance in front of people.”

She added: “That’s more of a regret of mine than a cherished memory, that I didn’t really have a first dance.”

Wonder’s performance was not the only star-studded musical number of the night, as Legend, 43, also serenaded his bride with his hit “All of Me,” which he wrote about Teigen.

A source told PEOPLE after the wedding that the emotional rendition of the song had the ceremony’s 125 guests choked up.

“Everyone was in tears,” the insider said at the time. “It was so beautiful.”

Three years after their wedding, the couple revisited Lake Como.

“Back to where it all began - Lake Como, Italy - first came here in 2007,” Teigen shared in an Instagram post in 2016. “A boat tour guide took us to a little spot on the lake and told us to make a wish. I asked for this to be the man I marry and have children with. I think John asked for the most perfect bite of cacio e pepe. Both came true, and here we are.”

Last month, the couple, who are parents to Luna Simone, 7, Miles Theodore, 5, Esti Maxine, 9 months, and Wren Alexander, 2 months. marked their tenth wedding anniversary with a vow renewal in italy.

A Teigen source told PEOPLE of the celebrations, “They treated their friends and family to the best weekend. It was magical! Everything was perfect! Chrissy was the happiest.”

The pair kicked off the special occasion with a brunch on Saturday at Villa Pizzo in Lake Como, which is where they held first wedding ceremony on Sept. 14, 2013.

The Cravings author also shared how she was initially hesitant for the pair to renew their vows thanks to so many relationships from the Real Housewives franchise ending after doing the same.

“I didn't want it to be a vow renewal,” she told PEOPLE on Sept. 21. “I come from the world of Real Housewives and a vow renewal is the kiss of death, but I was like, ‘Let's kiss it. Let's do it.’ ”

As for whether or not the couple plan to renew their vows to mark every decade of marriage they reach, Teigen jokes, “My business accountant says that I can do it every 25 years. But no, I would, but you want to make it special too. And I really don't like celebrations, whether it's my birthday or anything. But I do love gratitude and I love thanking the people that have been there for the past 17 years of our relationship. To me, that was everything.”
