Chrissy Teigen honored her late son Jack in her upcoming cookbook, Cravings: All Together, which is centered around family.

The star, 35, revealed in September that she and husband John Legend suffered a pregnancy loss with their third child, a baby boy they named Jack. The couple is also parents to daughter Luna Simone, 5, and son Miles Theodore, 3.

On Thursday, Teigen shared photos from her new cookbook, including the sweet tribute to her child, who was due in February. "For Jack," a page with photos of cookies says at the start of the book.

"It is incredibly hard to put into words what this book means to me," Teigen wrote on Instagram.

"How do you come up with a funny, enticing caption for a book that quite literally saved you," she wrote. "I didn't have a theme in mind when we made this book — all I knew was I wanted a bright new energy, but I also needed comfort. I wanted to make recipes that would be timeless, food that brings joy to your belly, your household, those around you. I wanted people to enjoy not just the outcome, but the process. This book is reflective of everything I wanted and we needed as a family to bring into our home, it is truly a piece of us, and I am so excited to share it with you."

The comfort foods featured in the book, which will be available on Oct. 12, include classic recipes with Teigen's playful spins, including spinach and artichoke dip served in an edible tortilla bowl, chicken crunch-wrap tacos (a nod to her love of Taco Bell), and gingersnap cookie butter.

The star also teased other recipes that have personal connections to her family. "Get ready for John's thick ass blueberry pancakes — the ones we make every Sunday morning without fail, sticky orange glazed fried chicken sandwiches, Luna's unicorn milkshakes, and salty white chocolate chunk cookies so addictive you might as well double the batch," she said.

Teigen previously spoke to PEOPLE about the role she believes cooking has in bring families together.

"I always knew that I wanted to be a mom. I knew I wanted to be a wife, but work-wise I never knew exactly where I could fit in or what I could do — but if I could get people in the kitchen cooking together with their families and make something that they're proud of, that makes me so happy," she said in April. "To be able to do that day in and day out, I'm just the luckiest girl in the world, truly."
