The "White Horse" singer was the subject of a country breakup anthem on the latest episode of 'SNL'

Chris Stapleton found himself the subject of a country song.

On the Saturday, April 13 episode of Saturday Night Live, the "Tennessee Whiskey" singer, 46, co-starred in a sketch alongside cast members Chloe Fineman, Chloe Troast and Ego Nwodim, as well as host Ryan Gosling.

In the skit titled "Get That Boy Back," which channels Carrie Underwood's revenge-inspired hit "Before He Cheats," the trio sings about their plans to get back at their two-timing boyfriends.

While Nwodim's character writes on her boyfriend's car with lipstick, Fineman's alter-ego decides to key her beau's car.

Troast's character, on the other hand, has a master plan.

"My man left, and didn't treat me kind, y'all can mess with his truck, I'll destroy his mind," she sings. "Break into his house, keep replacing his shoes with the same set of shoes but half a size bigger every other week so it's got the boy thinking..."

Stapleton then appears confused: "Are these different, or am I shrinking?"

However, that's not Troast's alter-ego's only plan.

"I'm in his parents' house, painted just like their wall, whispering 'get out' in the middle of the night," she sings, as she blends into the wallpaper and her boyfriend's mom (Heidi Gardner) calls Stapleton scared.

Viewers come to understand how Troast's character has learned her tactics as Gosling, playing her character's brother, showcases his rapper skills and reveals he's an ex-CIA operative who has some tricks up his sleeve like "switching his Sudoku with the one that can't be solved," and "plucking out his hairs so he thinks he's going bald."

As the song continues, it turns out that Troast's character's instincts about her boyfriend are off, as Stapleton explains his side of the story.

"When Jenny left me / Man I really miss her / She thought I was cheatin' / But I was just texting my sister," he belts.
