Chris Stapleton took the stage during his recent appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show for a special performance of “Loving You on My Mind.” The song, which appears on the musician’s latest studio album, Higher, was elevated to the next level as Stapleton was joined by Hudson herself and the country duo the War and Treaty.

Stapleton kicked off the song with the War and Treaty, singing alongside his band. About halfway through, following one of the singer’s soulful guitar solos, Hudson emerged from side stage to bring the performance home. “You think I can make it on the tour?” the host asked once they wrapped. “Can I sing on the tour?”
