The Academy of Country Music (ACM) will continue to honor the year's best and brightest singers and songwriters -- plus honor veteran industry standard bearers at August 23's 16th ACM Honors event at the Ryman Auditorium.

Tickets will be available starting Friday, June 30, via https://www.axs.com.

More performers will be announced in the coming weeks, but ACM Artist-Songwriter of the Year winner HARDY, Songwriter of the Year Ashley Gorley and ACM New Female Artist of the Year Hailey Whitters will present awards at the event.

The ACM's 2022 Female Artist of the Year Carly Pearce will return as the event's host.

Yearly, the ACM adds another awards event to extend the Academy of Country Music Awards to, as CEO Damon Whiteside has stated, "celebrate the achievements of artists, musicians, and industry executives that have made a positive impact on the industry during the prior year or over their careers."

2023's event will see Chris Stapleton, the ACM's current reigning Entertainer of the Year, receive the Triple Crown Award as he's now won ACM awards for New Male Vocalist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year Entertainer of the Year. He joins Jason Aldean, Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Mickey Gilley, Merle Haggard, Miranda Lambert, Barbara Mandrell and Carrie Underwood in receiving the prestigious honor.

As well, outgoing Universal Music Group Chairman and CEO Mike Dungan and chart-topping country icon Tim McGraw will receive the ACM Icon Award, presented to, as a release notes, "a country music artist, duo/group or industry leader who, throughout their career, has advanced the popularity of the genre through their contributions in multiple facets of the industry, such as songwriting, recording, production, touring, film, television, literary works, philanthropic contributions and other goodwill efforts."

As for Dungan, in regards to his legendary four-decade music industry career, upon announcing his retirement, he wrote, "For 43 years, the music business has been my home -- smiling, dialing, selling, hustling, laughing, doing my part to help the art and magic realize its potential. And loving every minute of it. I've lived a charmed life, and there are no words to describe how grateful I am and how blessed I feel for everyone that I have encountered along the way. I'm also proud to boast that through it all, with little exception, I have been 'all-in' as a competitor and as a friend."

Charlie Daniels will posthumously receive the ACM Spirit Award, which honors the spirit of 20-time ACM Award-winner Merle Haggard as a trailblazing songwriter whose "genuine performances and great storytelling" are appreciated.

The ACM's debuting Lift Every Voice Award will also be given to BRELAND.

The ACM states that the award will be presented to "a country music artist, duo/group, industry leader, or affiliate/partner who plays a pivotal role in elevating underrepresented voices throughout the country music genre, transcending demographics and geography."

The nominee will be proposed by rising leaders in the ACM's new LEVel UP: Lift Every Voice professional development and enrichment program, which, as noted, is "designed to empower participants to play a pivotal role in expanding the horizons of country music into new audiences that transcend demographics and geography."

Kane Brown's recent global touring success will net him the ACM's International Award. At the same time, a trio of legendary singer-songwriters -- Clint Black, Mary Chapin Carpenter and K.T. Oslin -- will receive the ACM Poet's Award for outstanding and longstanding musical and/or lyrical contributions throughout their career. Black, in particular, is the writer behind all 22 of his chart-topping country hits.

Premier Global Production Company CEO Troy Vollhoffer will be the recipient of the ACM's Lifting Lives Award. Vollhoffer was Lifting Lives' chairman for 2021-2022, aiding the ACM's philanthropic partner aimed at assisting musicians and music industry members in need, with a focus on health-related initiatives.

Charlie Cook and Bill Mayne will receive the ACM Service Award. Alongside previous awardees, Barry Adelman, Duane Clark, RAC Clark, Bob Kingsley, Reba McEntire, Gayle Holcomb, Keith Urban and Gene Weed, they are, as a release states, "an outstanding country music artist, duo/group, or industry leader [who has aided] the Academy of Country Music.
