Having fronted three major movies in the last two years, Chris Pratt has done plenty of promotion of his own projects, but now he’s lending his face to someone else’s, specifically, his brother-in-law.

Pratt posted a throwback picture of himself at 13 on Instagram as a promotion for “Being 13,” a special about the online lives of teenagers which airs Monday night during Anderson Cooper 360 on CNN.

“Before selfies, this was what 13 looked like,” Pratt wrote. “#Being13 looks like this now: cnn.com/being13. So proud of my brother in law, friend and hunting partner Bob Faris for his involvement in this great project. Check it out!!”

Bob Faris is, of course, the brother of Pratt’s wife, Anna Faris. He is also an associate professor of sociology at the University of California at Davis. Faris, alongside University of Texas at Dallas behavioral and brain sciences professor Marion K. Underwood, took on a massive study about the social media habits of 13 year olds, the results of which will be explained during “Being 13.”

In an op-ed, Faris and Underwood detailed their findings which, while not particularly surprising, are certainly illuminating. The study found that passively viewing the curated lives of their peers via social media can have massively detrimental effects on the mental state of teenagers.

All of this is to say, while being 13 has never been easy, it’s also never been harder than it is today. But look at little 13-year-old Chris Pratt. Clearly he made it out OK.
