Just imagine: you’re out for a casual night, enjoying some live music, and then…Avengers star Chris Pratt jumps on stage and grabs the mic. That’s exactly what happened to some Tennessee patrons last night, as Chris Pratt sang Johnny Cash at one Nashville bar and an unnamed country track at a second. Musicians and fans alike seemed delighted to see him there, snapping pictures with the 40-year-old actor and posting to social media about the evening.

Pratt’s first stop was Robert’s Western World, a well-known live music bar in downtown Nashville. A little before midnight, Pratt performed his rendition of Johnny Cash’s “Folsom Prison Blues” to wild applause, with the band on stage playing along. Other musicians performing at the venue that night, like country singer Sarah Gayle Meech, were thrilled with the surprise appearance. “When Chris Pratt shows up at your show @robertswesternworld to sing Johnny Cash,” Meech captioned an Instagram selfie of her and Pratt. “You never know who will show up at Robert’s Western World… Thank you @prattprattpratt you made our night!”

Pratt’s second stop was at Tootsie’s World Famous Orchid Lounge, a historical landmark and iconic honky-tonk, where he once again took the stage to belt out a country hit. Fans there went equally wild over his appearance, with even the venue itself posting to social media about the surprise stop. On its Instagram story, Tootsie’s posted a pic of Pratt on stage alongside an Andy Dwyer GIF (Pratt’s character from hit sitcom Parks & Recreation). “Look who decided to stop by!” the venue captioned the story. “What we love about Nashville, Tennessee.”
