Another day, another minor kerfuffle over Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger. The Marvel star and the children's book author, who are either the unwitting victims of a vicious and puerile culture war or the two worst people in Los Angeles, bought and tore down a famous home in order to build a new, bigger home on the property, according to Dwell. And people are really mad on behalf of the original house, called the Zimmerman House, which was a midcentury design by famous architect Craig Ellwood.

Even Frodo Baggins is mad! Imagine if someone tore down a hobbit hole to build one of the two towers.

Sure, you could say that what with all the goings-on going on in the world, defending a house, or defending the rights of celebrities to demolish a house, is kind of silly. But on the other hand, old, architecturally significant houses are cool, and bigger isn't always better.

Explained one person on Twitter, “Chris Pratt & Katherine Schwarzenegger recently purchased & demolished the Zimmerman House, designed in 1950 by the acclaimed architect Craig Ellwood. It's sad to see icons of modernism needlessly destroyed by insensitive McMansion seekers.”

Other reactions were, let's say, less generous.

So far, it doesn't look like either Chris Pratt or Katherine Schwarzenegger has commented on their controversial decision.
