Many parents who have both sons and daughters can tell you that's there are inherent differences between raising little boys and little girls. Among their ranks is Chris Pratt, who shares two daughters, Lyla and Eloise, with his wife Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt, as well as an 11-year-old son Jack with his ex-wife, actress and comedian Anna Faris.

Speaking with E! News this week ahead of the release of his upcoming Garfield Movie, in theaters on May 23, Pratt was asked about what it's like being a girl dad compared to a boy dad.

"In my experience, at least—you hate to make generalizations based on gender—girls are more emotional, and more emotionally manipulative," the 44-year-old explained. "Like, girls don't like to roughhouse as much. I'll hit 'em with a pillow and they'll go, 'Daddy, that hurt my feelings.' I'm like, 'Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry.'"

He added: "They've got me wrapped around their finger. It's wild."

However, Pratt noted that another difference was that his daughters require an additional amount of planning in their day-to-day lives, and that the three-year-old and 23-month-old "take after their mother, who is incredibly organized."

"But even the differences between my two daughters, just goes to show that every child is a little bit different," the Guardians of the Galaxy star concluded.

Pratt recently came under fire for his annual Mother's Day post on social media, which fans noticed left out his first wife, all the while praising Katherine for being a stepmother to his firstborn.

"Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas out there! Love to my mom Kathy who set a high bar for her love, patience, humor, and joy in motherhood," he wrote. "And a special thank you my darling Katherine for all you do. Witnessing you be a mom to Lyla and Eloise and a stepmom to Jack makes me fall more and more in love with you every day."

"The 24/7 job of scheduling, transporting, loving, nurturing, managing calendars, planning activities, the nutrition, the boundaries, the rules, the patience, the gentleness, the firmness, the wisdom, and grace. It’s truly a marvel," he added.

Meanwhile, Faris has been married to cinematographer Michael Barrett, who she met while working on her 2018 Overboard remake, since 2021.
