Chris Pratt's 700-lb. Pig Dies: 'This Was a Hard One,' He Writes in Goodbye Post

The actor shared the news in a touching yet hilarious Instagram post on Thursday

Chris Pratt is mourning — and celebrating — the loss and life of one of his beloved farm animals.

In a Thursday night post, the Avengers: Endgame star revealed his 700-lb. pig Magnus had died.

“Our magnificent gentle Tamworth giant fell ill and passed away two days ago,” he said. “This was a hard one. He was as cuddly as a 700lb boar could be. We’ll miss him.”

The actor infused the post with his humor, though, adding, “He had the biggest nuts of any mammal I’d ever seen in person. I’ll miss seeing those bowling ball size testicles waggle to and fro as he rooted for hazelnuts in the hay. #farmlife”

Pratt’s Washington expanse is his favorite respite; the actor often posts images of himself, son Jack and fiancée Katherine Schwarzenegger at the space, playing with the lambs, pigs, longhorns and other animals he keeps. He started his hobby in 2017, beginning with lamb (and fishing) before expanding into farming fruits and vegetables and raising other creatures.

Opening up about the farm in a 2018 Instagram post, Pratt wrote, “I have found a new passion to add to my many others. #farmlife and jack loves it!” he said. “You’ll know where to sprinkle my ashes. I’ll tell you that.”

Most recently, the actor announced one of his sheep won an award for her wool at an expo at Washington State University.
