They play love interests in one of the most anticipated movies of the holiday season, but Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence still know how to be rivals on a press tour. Pratt kicked off their playful feud when he began posting epic selfies from the road — with JLaw artfully cut out of them.

During a visit to BBC One, the Passengers co-stars got a chance to play Playground Insults, a game about as awesome as it sounds. (In case it isn’t clear from the name because you had a particularly blessed or sheltered childhood, the game consists of hurling insults at each other like kids do on a playground. It ends when one person just loses it or delivers the killer insult.)

“You are so falsely strong that if I was given a choice between you or your wife to protect me, I would chose Anna,” Lawrence began (referring to actress Anna Faris, who joined them for part of the tour). “Why did they call it Joy?” Pratt asked in reply, causing the actress to crack up.

“You are so stupid that your 3-year-old son has probably taught you everything you know,” Lawrence speculated.

“How does it feel being in the stupidest Marvel movie?” Pratt asked, referencing Lawrence’s role as Mystique in X-Men: Apocalypse. “I recently told you that you act like Adele sings: I hate Adele,” Pratt added.

“Where do you keep your Oscar?” Lawrence asked Pratt, calling out her 2014 Best Actress award for her role in Silver Linings Playbook. For once, Pratt was at a loss for words. “Um, that was really good,” Pratt admitted, before trying to kick it back.

“You were given an Oscar for best actress, you would also get one for being the worst,” he said. After a pause, he added, “I think I just lost about 20 points on that one.” He redeemed himself, however, speculating, “You have so much fake hair that if you commit a crime, the CSI lab would probably convict some Ukrainian girl.”

Then it took a NSFW turn. “Before our sex scene, I took to Pepto-Bismol,” Lawrence joked.

“During our sex scene, I felt your d*** rubbing up against me,” Pratt replied.

And … scene.

But those were hardly the only antics they got up to while promoting their sci-fi flick. During a visit to Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night, Lawrence got a chance to get revenge on Pratt for his selfie stunt. “It’s always a bad sign when Chris seems sincere about something,” Lawrence confessed. “Like, ‘Would you care if I took some photos for my social media? I think it would be good for boosting the movie.’ And I’m like, ‘Of course, man.'” And she then decided the joke had gone on long enough.

“F*** it. I’m going to do something about it!” she declared as she grabbed a can of spray paint and headed for Hollywood Boulevard (in a not-at-all pre-planned scene). Fortuitously, a sightseeing bus pulled up at that moment with a large ad for Passengers on its side, giving Lawrence the perfect opportunity to cover over her co-star’s face. The host assisted the star, blocking off all the letters of the word Passengers until it just said “ass.” Then Jennifer added an arrow pointing to Chris’s face. The people riding the bus were beyond delighted, as were the rest of us. Obviously.

It seems the two stars might be getting delirious from their whirlwind, worldwide press tour. Recently, instead of more selfies with Lawrence cut out, he posted this:

Someone might need to get some sleep.
