Chris Hemsworth's private chef, Sergio Perera, is detailing what the star eats in preparation for his blockbuster movie roles.

Speaking with news.com.au, Perera told the outlet that the actor, 40, will adjust his meals depending on whether he needs to bulk up or lose weight for a part, and that one of his favorite foods includes “good quality beef."

“Obviously the guy is a big boy,” Perera said, noting that Hemsworth "requires a lot of protein for the body he has."

“When it comes to building muscle, he just keeps it very clean with a lot of barbecuing — like meats and vegetables — and keeping it Mediterranean, which involves a lot of olive oil," the foodie, who has appeared on MasterChef Australia, continued.

Adding that Hemsworth's diet doesn’t include anything “boxed or canned," Perera also detailed one meal he would always craft for the star. “One thing I did religiously with him, was every single day he would have one very large, hearty salad that consisted of raw and cooked vegetables, fermented products, nuts, seeds, and a lot of good fats with a piece of steak or a big piece of fish," he said.

Perera and Hemsworth have been working together for over a decade, ever since the chef was contacted by the actor's wife, Elsa Pataky, to work with him.

“He had just finished the first Thor movie, and he needed someone to help match his meal plan to his physical demands," Perera told news.com.au. "And that’s how I came on board."

“I would sit with his trainer, who is one of his closest friends, and we would all work together on figuring out Chris’ goals," he continued.

According to the outlet, Perera loved working with Hemsworth so much that he eventually moved to Australia — the actor's home base— and established himself in Byron Bay in 2016.

“I went there thinking I was only going to be there for a few months, but I ended up staying,” Perera said.
