Chris Hemsworth's new Netflix movie 'Extraction' heading for record streams
Chris Hemsworth's new Netflix actioner Extraction is reportedly heading for record numbers of streams, the actor has said.
The Marvel star plays Tyler Rake, operative in the Australian SAS turned mercenary.
He paid tribute to his character, in a post to his Instagram page, saying: “Tyler Rake is kicking ass. Extraction is well on its way to becoming the biggest-ever film premiere on Netflix – with an estimated 90m households getting in on the action in the first fours weeks.

“Thanks to everyone who watched so far!”
The movie has been produced by Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo, with Joe Russo penning the script.
However, it's not been met with reviews quite as glowing as Endgame or Infinity War.
It has a rather more mixed 67% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with many critics rounding on its 'white saviour' tropes, with the action taking place in India and Bangladesh.
The movie finds Hemsworth's Rake rescuing the son of an Indian drug lord in Dhaka.

Netflix currently does not have outside verification of its streaming stats, and while it used to count a stream if 70% of the title had been watched on an account, it recently changed this parameter to just two minutes.
However, the global lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic has certainly unearthed hit shows for the streaming platform.
Exotic animal docu-series Tiger King has become a viral sensation, along with the basketball documentary The Last Dance, following the heyday of the Chicago Bulls.
