Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo are in talks to star in a crime caper.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe veterans, who play Thor and Hulk respectively, are currently in negotiations for a movie adaptation of Don Winslow’s Crime 101, as reported by Deadline.

Winslow’s original short story was published in 2021. It follows detective Lou Lubesnick as he attempts to uncover the thieves behind a series of jewel heists. The film’s title, Crime 101, is taken from the thieves’ code, which they stick to in order to evade authorities and escape prosecution.

It’s not confirmed yet, however. Ruffalo is currently in talks to star in the project, with Hemsworth in talks to star and produce. The pair first appeared together in Marvel’s 2012 superhero team-up, The Avengers. Since, they’ve reprised their roles as Thor and Bruce Banner in numerous Marvel projects.

Bart Layton (The Imposter, American Animals) is directing Crime 101. He also co-wrote the script with Peter Straughan (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Snowman).

The Amazon MGM film is slated for a theatrical release some time in 2025.
