Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba Crash Tom Hiddleston’s Award Acceptance Speech

Tom Hiddleston is in the middle of shooting his next Marvel movie, so he was unable to accept his award in person for Best Actor for The Night Manager at the TV Choice Awards, which is a British ceremony. He was giving his acceptance speech via satellite when a pair of pretty famous friends of his dropped by. “Hello, everybody at the TV Choice Awards,” Hiddleston began, proudly holding a small statue of three stars. “I’m so sorry I can’t be there tonight, I’m sure you all look lovely. I’m in Australia, I’m shooting Thor: Ragnarok. I don’t really have anything to offer you.” At that moment, the Thor to his Loki, Chris Hemsworth, walked into the shot, asking, “Is that for us?”

“It’s for Home and Away, yeah?” Hemsworth asked, referring to the show he hasn’t been a cast member of since 2007. “Thanks everybody at Channel 7.” Then, Hemsworth himself was interrupted by Idris Elba. “What’s that?” Elba asked Hiddleston, referring to the statue in his hands. “That’s really awful, isn’t it? What’s this for?” When Hiddleston told Elba it was for The Night Manager, Elba replied, “Oh, hey. Why didn’t Luther get nominated?”

After a little more goofing around, Elba left, complimenting Hiddleston, saying, “You were amazing in The Night Manager.” “Home and Away rocks,” said Hemsworth. “And so does The Night Manager.” “OK, well, I guess I’ll leave it there,” Hiddleston said before flashing a smile.
