Chris Harrison recalls his kids' VERY awkward visit to the set of 'Bachelor Pad'

When over-employed TV host Chris Harrison dropped by the Build Series studios yesterday to chat about the new season of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, talk naturally turned to The Bachelor and its many spinoffs — including the now-defunct Bachelor Pad. The pre-Bachelor in Paradise spin-off ran from 2010-2012 on ABC, and it featured former Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants competing for money (and love, of course) at the famed Bachelor Mansion. And back in 2011, Harrison’s two children — Joshua, then 8, and Taylor, then 6 — dropped by the set of Bachelor Pad to visit their dad before lunch. There, they witnessed something “they were way too young witness,” admits the host.

When the kids arrived, the show was in the middle of shooting a challenge called “Hook Up,” and it involved scantily-clad contestants in a tight embrace while hoisted over mattresses in a harness. “There’s butts everywhere, stuff hanging out, and I turn around and I see my kids standing there, looking at dad at work,” recalls Harrison. “And I’m just like, ‘That’s gonna be a lot of therapy.'”

For reference, here’s the challenge the host is talking about.
