Hello, Bachelor Nation! It’s been an unbelievable summer and I can’t believe it’s already over. Last year, Jade and Tanner fell madly in love and less than a year later got married. It’s nice to see that the miracle at Playa Escondido wasn’t an isolated incident. It never crossed any of our minds that there would be more than one engagement at the end of Paradise this year, but as always we encouraged people to push themselves and to figure out if the love they were feeling was real and could stand the test of time.

Now it’s a few months later, and Grant and Lace, Evan and Carly, and Josh and Amanda are all together. Sure, there have been ups and downs, as there are in any relationship, and getting through Paradise can be trying, but these three couples are living together, getting to know each other’s families, and already even starting some of the early stages of wedding planning. I sincerely hope that each and every one of these couples finds their way down the aisle and end up loving each other for as long as they live, but in the meantime, let’s celebrate the love they have found and try to support them as they move into this very exciting new phase of their lives.

It was quite a week and we said goodbye to some great folks. Shu and Jami had to say their goodbyes along with Brett and Izzy, who we now know regretted her decision. Tiara never got much of a chance but at least we know she has Sheila the chicken waiting for her at home. And Wells and Ashley ended their short lived romance and left Paradise as singles. I think we were all hoping that they each would find love, but in Paradise things move quickly, and you either go all in or you respectfully take a step back and admit that things just didn’t work out for you this time.

Jen and Nick also had a very nice relationship in Paradise, but I think it was clear that their relationship was not heading towards something permanent. At this point, we’ve seen Nick fall in love and we know, and more importantly, he know, what that looks like. It’s important to try and to put yourself out there. It’s also important to remember not to force it when it’s not there. I know they have kept in touch and at this point know that Nick wishes Jen the best of luck and has fond memories. We all know she’s a great young woman and will find a love that is worthy of all the love she has to give.

As for Nick, as you know, he’s our next Bachelor, and he’s already off and preparing for that very emotional journey. We’re all very excited about next season, and by how excited you all are. It’s going to be a great fall and we can’t wait to see you in January when we premiere with what is surely to be a very dramatic season of The Bachelor.

We have the best fans in the world and we are so thankful to you for all you give us. Thanks, Bachelor Nation, you’re the best.

The new season of The Bachelor premieres in January 2017 on ABC.
