Chris Evans Says Ex-Girlfriends Have Told Him 'You're Such a Gemini': 'I Will Dump My Brain Out'

"One of the qualities of Geminis is communication. We like to share and converse and just be candid," the actor told GQ

Chris Evans is aware of his Gemini tendencies.

The Pain Hustlers actor, 42, opened up to GQ in a new interview (which was conducted prior to the ongoing actors' strike) about how he sees his actual personality in comparison to the characters he portrays onscreen.

Playing superhero Captain America in the Marvel movies was "slightly against type" for him, Evans told the outlet.

"In terms of, you know, morality, in terms of your personal integrity and the man you want to be? I’d like to believe I have more in common with Captain America," said Evans. "He sets a pretty high bar."

The actor also joked that more than one of his exes have noted that his Gemini sign is fitting, even if he doesn't put much stock into astrology.

"It’s funny, I’ve been told that I’m an extrovert. Even though I think we all kind of feel like introverts to some degree," said Evans. "I’m a pretty open person. I like communication."

"I’m not sure how much I believe in astrology, but I’m a Gemini and I’ve had enough ex-girlfriends tell me, ‘You’re such a Gemini,' " continued Evans, whose birthday is June 13. "And one of the qualities of Geminis is communication. We like to share and converse and just be candid."

Evans admitted he "will dump my brain out unapologetically" to someone "kind of to a fault" — and "sometimes whether I’m asked to or not."

"But," he said, "that type of emotional sharing often comes with physicality that I’m comfortable in, you know, body language and cadence. There’s a commonality to that character type that I think I feel comfortable with."

In November, Sexiest Man Alive Evans told PEOPLE he was prioritizing his work-life balance in order to spend more time at home with loved ones.

"When it comes to seeking out the people I play it's more of an issue of where the movie shoots," he said at the time. "I'm too old to be living out of a suitcase for six months and I've settled into a nicer phase where I'm just happy being at home."

Evans, earlier this month, married actress Alba Baptista in a private ceremony in Massachusetts. He said in November that starting his family was "absolutely something I want."
