Chris Evans and Jenny Slate may have had the friendliest breakup in the history of ever.
Despite the demise of their romantic relationship in January of this year, the Gifted co-stars continue to be close and have nothing but kind words for one another.
Evans, 35, recently expressed his immense respect for the actress in an interview with People.
"She's my favorite human," Evans confessed. "She's the best. I've never ever ever met someone in my life who has a mastery of the English language the way she does. She'll give you one sentence, and there's no fat to it. You're like, 'You just chose such an unbelievable collection of words that beautifully articulate what you say.'"
The Captain America star added that communicating with the 35-year-old Slate is "like an art form." "The visuals associated with her expression are just so colorful," he stressed. "She's so vulnerable, so honest, so interested in other people more than herself, she's incredibly compassionate, there's just nothing to not love about her."
The two met while filming Fox Searchlight's drama, Gifted, and they split amicably after less than a year of dating. Slate once even adorably referred to Evans as her "dream 7th grade boyfriend."
The actress has since opened up about the split, calling her ex a "lovely person." "Chris is truly one of the kindest people I've ever met," Slate said. "He's really vulnerable, and he's really straightforward."
Evans, who plays a father figure in Gifted, is already looking to the next chapter, and he recently opened up to ET's Carly Steel about the possibility of having children of his own.
"Of course [I want to have children]," he shared. "That's certainly something I look forward to, absolutely."
