Chris Evans and Aly Raisman certainly know how to pass the time in quarantine.

The actor and the Olympic gold medalist, who both hail from Massachusetts, got together for a doggy playdate with their respective rescue pups this weekend. On his Instagram page, Evans, 39, posted a quick video to his stories of his beloved dog Dodger frolicking around in the backyard with a small puppy.

“Dodger had a very energetic play date yesterday,” he wrote, while the sound of a laughing woman could be heard in the background. Soon, it became clear that the woman in the video was Raisman, 26.

“Dodger looks huge compared to him,” Raisman said in a video of her own, which showed the two pups carousing in a backyard. “That’s because he is,” Evans replies. “You got a new buddy?” he added, remarking on how well the two dogs played together.

In a second video posted to Raisman’s account, Evans is shown curled up with little Mylo on his shoulder. Dressed in a sweater that closely resembles the famous one he wore in Knives Out, Evans gave Mylo a series of kisses as he smiled for the camera while John Parr’s “St. Elmo’s Fire (Man in Motion)” plays in the background.

Back in October, Raisman introduced her furry friend to the world in a heartfelt social media post.

“Meet Mylo. I rescued Mylo yesterday from Heart of RI shelter. He was born July 16, 2020. I’m so excited to be his mom,” she tweeted. “I’ve already cried a few times because I feel so lucky. He’s currently napping on my chest. I can’t wait to get to know him.”

Raisman is a native of Needham, Mass., which is just a short distance from Evans’s hometown of Sudbury. Evans has spent a significant amount of time in the Boston area in the last few years, shooting Knives Out and the Apple TV+ series Defending Jacob.

The actor is also a proud pet owner, tweeting in 2018 that “rescue dogs are the best dogs.”
